Indians DID invent modern numeracy and in fact the concept of Decimals and zero as a number in the value system. Any other assertion is a complete historic fallacy. Ancient and modern Indian mathematics are so highly developed that the Arabs were stunned and learned quite a bit from the Indians on this plane of academia.
