What About Arabic Numerals?

Reader comment on item: CAIR Founded by "Islamic Terrorists"?

Submitted by ilaila (Saudi Arabia), Aug 8, 2005 at 12:28

The whole progress of the western scientific & economic progress is based on the basis of the Arabic Numerals & decimal system developed by the Muslims. This is one sufficient gigantic contribution to the whole humanity of this world. Without the 'zero' of the binary arithmetic you would not be using this computer, nor mobile phones, nor satellites, nor space exploration, no advance at all. The key to the scientific & economic progress is provided by the Muslims. This is a sufficient fact for anyone to be proud of.
