Remove Arabic from the Israeli currency, anyone - OR- is this a good thing?Reader comment on item: American Taxpayer Money Spent on Eradicating Hebrew-Language Street Signs Submitted by James Burke (Canada), Oct 3, 2009 at 12:54 Liberal Israelis must be shocked that the Palestinians do not want to reciprocate with multi-lingual signs as are found in Israel. Arab signs are everywhere and noone has a problem with seeing arabic except for the extreme extreme extreme right wing; a small minority. Others like myself who do not want that Arabs ever come near a majority in any area of Israel; and believe that Jews have a right to live in any lands conquered by the Israeli tsahal and that Israel should never surrender the Golan to syria, still have no problem with arabic on signs or currency. But the removal of hebrew from signs is a slap in the face to multiculties and jewish libs - and about time.
