Our views on Islamic law are well known too. No one would also think that I and many Maldivians like me are inclined to tolerate Islam being degraded and cheapened by Mr. Robinson or anyone else. For us, Islam is not barbaric. Islam needs not to be modified by such pathetic ideas. Islam needs not to be modernized by any. Islam has its own holy nature of perfection. Islam is the perfect means for justice in all its manifestations
