There may be many things that one can criticize about Muslims,Muslim majority countries, Islam and its Prophet some based on fact or the perception that one holds but the hatred and slander of a religon held sacred by billions has no place among civilized people. The selective quotes from the Qur'an and the effort to demonize Islam, its Prophet and Muslims is part of the fundamentalist Protestant agenda that is ailied with the fanatic Israeli right that fears the growing number of Muslims in the US, the UK and Europe and any influence it may have on the apartheid that Palestinians are subjected to. Terrorism has been used by states to allow them to treat independence or separist movements that are seen as a threat to Western hegemony of the Middle East and the world.

If portugeseamericano wants to put down others because of some spelling mistakes to show his superiority he should stick to objective comments that are related to the core issues. This site and others are well know for being a nest of Islam bashers. The whole subject of women's freeedom, equality and general status is being used as a club to attack Islam despite the fact that Muslim women as well as feminists are attempting to secure their legitimate rights through the proper interpretation and implementation of Islam. As a native born americanamericano who has no ethnic connection to my living as a Muslim,

... regarding jihad, shariat and other practices of Islam that are being used to promote the Israeli extemist agenda that wants to get the US into another war against Iran based on the existential threat that they are promoting along with anti-Semitism to continue to portray Israel as the eternal victim that allows here to commit atrocities and state terrorism hiding behind democracy. Many Israelis are labeled as leftists, self hating Jews or traitors because they oppose deprivng Palestinians of their legitimate rights to whatever land Israel has acquired through illegal settlement, war and annexation. Israel wants peace; yes a bigger and bigger piece of Arab land in the name of security and their biblical "right" to all of ancient Palestine. Only when Israel lives up to the dictum of being" a light to the nations" can there be peace in the Middle East and harmony among different religions that sincere religious scholars are striving for.
