Speaking as an Irishman

I know well the IRA and it is a part of my own history. I know the motivations behind its formation and the passions that drove its actions and although there are those today who have usurped the name for their own purposes in its original form and time it served as a reservoir of hope for a people who had lost all hope. It was the tool by which we gained our freedom from the domination of the English. In that respect I share much with Menachem Begin and the Irgun for the Irgun was formed with that same idea in mind.
