Glamorous Muslim political women. Burkas would be constraining and so hot!

Reader comment on item: Glamorous Muslim Political Women

I have seen many Muslim women totally covered up, except for their faces. In hot weather, who could stand all this material covering your skin. In the hot countries of the middle east, it would protect us from the sun, but in other milder climates, it is not necessary. The women have to be decent, according to their husbands, and muslim law, but look at the leniency and freedom the political women are given.

Its like rights for politicians in the US. There has always been a double standard, when it comes to the common man and the politician, or their wives.... You have to admit the openness and the glamour is alot cooler, and more appealing to the eye, than the constraining burkas.
