No one should be surprised.

The only people who have displayed an unexpected naivete were American Jews who supported Obama in the first place. He's not likely to understand his error because he will never see his policy as an error. Picking a fight with Israel wasn't a demonstration of incompetence. More of Obama's supporters are pro-Palestinian than pro-Israel.

He is doing exactly what many people predicted for two years. Who can really be surprised at his actions?
