I would be interested to see this kind of analysis of other "moderates."
I don't know if, for example, James Zogby is considered moderate, but some of what he's written criticle of the U.S. and in defence of extremists tells me he's in the mold of El Fadl.
It is frightening that some of these people are in such sensative positions. One wonders how much damage El Fadl has already done, in the long run, in his capacity as a professor of law.
