He misunderstands because he doesn't understand freedom -- and how can he. How typically uncivilized this comment is. The caricatures are not about the intolerance of the West, but of the East. He projects his own culture's psychology maladjustment on another. "My sister, the caricatures against the Prophet (peace be upon him) is a speech of intolerance, not an upholding of a worthwhile moral value." The secret of the West is that it permits him to say this. The secret of the East is that it does not. I'm getting discouraged. War with these people is probably inevitable. Let's get it over with...
