Jesus Christ throughout history from now to 1000 years ago to 2000 years ago has not changed. His words and his deeds remain the same. Christianity followed through the words and deeds of Jesus was never and will never be a violent militant religion.
By contrast the founder of Islam from now to 1000 years ago to 1500 years ago through his words and through his deeds was violent and militant. Islam followed through the words and deeds of Mohammad will always be a violent and militant religion.
No compulsion in religion only gives permission for militants to force their faith on others and nothing else. It's power through any means until the final goal is reached, which is Islam over all others and finally Islam alone.
