"All is fair in love and war"Reader comment on item: The aftermath of attack in Gaza Submitted by Joyena Abraham (Canada), Jul 24, 2002 at 19:19 This man Salah Shehade was a very dangerous man, who had caused so much loss of life in Israel - he was good in evading the Israeli authorities too, and surrounded himself with a buffer, so to speak of "innocent" civilians - he shamelessly used them as a human shield!!! It seems Israel killed him just before he was planning to attack residents of Gush Katif. I really think it was a case of kill, or be killed. Europe lambasting Israel over this is very hypocritical. Wasn't she a part of NATO that caused tremendous loss of life amongst the Serbian population in 1999? No, people in glass-houses shouldn't throw stones. This was clearly a case of 'all being fair in love or war'. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
