"July 14, 2008" update is ominousReader comment on item: An International Law to Respect Religion? Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), Aug 24, 2008 at 13:57 I can't tell for sure from this "update", but I would bet that these series of resolutions passed by the U.N. General Ass. and the U.N. Human Rights Council not only protect "member states" from outside criticism of Islam, but criticism of Islam from within Islamic states. So any "human rights abuses" occuring within these countries, namely Saudi Arabia, can not only be falsly attributed to "defamation of Islam" by outsiders, but even their own citizenry haven't a voice. And, in the guise of "defending" Islam, Islam's followers are rendered defensless. Of course this is the status quo, but another nail has been hammered into the coffin of democracy and freedom; Islam's tyrannical stealth ominously strikes again.
