Hypocrisy squaredReader comment on item: An International Law to Respect Religion? Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), Mar 22, 2008 at 23:40 You're more optimistic than I am, Monte Gardner. My take on it is that Islam would be forced to recognize polytheism, anathematic to Muslims, especially as that is where they came from. Allah would surely curse them if they were to regard polytheism as a bona-fide religion. A first step toward "democratic thinking", as you write, or fear of damnation? Methinks the latter! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
