in response to reader comment: Kosher koran

Allan wrote such excellent comments about islam

>If religions are to be protected will they be protected from each other and does this mean Islam will have to be banned...after all it proclaims that it is the final word of God and all other religions are obsolete...it states Jesus is not the Son of God, a central tenet of Christianity, thereby attacking all other religions and denigrating their believers.

Islam is a mix and match of Judaism and Christianity with a bit of Arabic culture thrown in for good measure. It is no more than a Dan Brown novel, borrowing a few truths, adding in a few lies and wrapping the whole in the culture of the people it targeted as potential recruits...the Arabs....basically the Koran is based on Judaism and Christianity....it is a designer religion, more about revolution than revelation.

You really hit the nail on the head. There is no doubt in my mind that islam is the by-product of sectarian debates in a Judeo-Christian milieu as per the great historian of early islam John Wansbrough.

If you take the polemics out of islam you will be left with nothing. But the real problem is islam by its very nature of polemics will either have to be defeated in the market place of ideas or it will conquer Europe and the rest of the world as human beings look for simple answers and this is what Islam provides and in this case Europe will re-enter the dark ages again
