Judeo- Christian values :The West's bulwark against radical Islam

Reader comment on item: More about the Orthodox Future of Judaism

Submitted by Ben van de Polder (United States), Aug 3, 2007 at 14:56

The only bulwark the world has against radical Islam are Judeo -Christian values and the ensuing religious practices. Human beings crave spirituality. Noteworthy about the sucess Islamists have in making converts is that all of them convert to fundamentalist Islam and there is no reform or conservative Islamic movement to speak of. (The few such sects which do exist attract far less converts then what is regared as mainstream Islam).

Orthodox Judaism is the only way in which the Jews have can ensure their future. The other Jewish groups are moral relativists who are practicing theological revisionism. For a Jew to claim they do not believe in G-d and the Torah as the Reform (and some Conservatives) do is as dangerous as Holocaust denial. Holocaust deniers reject the historical facts and evidence showing that millions of Jews were systematically murdered ignoring those who were witness to the events and attempt to rewrite history. Reform Jews reject the Torah as being the word of G-d given on Mount Sinai and reject the historical evidence of it's being brought down at Mount Sinai as witnessed by hundreds of thousands of Jews. (By extrapolation they also nullify the Torah claim to the land of Israel).

To deny the Holocaust is to ignore the evidence of history. To deny that the Torah was given at Mount Sinai is to deny the existence of the divine. It is no coincidence that Holocaust deniers make common cause with the Islamists and that it is the Reform Jews who are chief among their leftist (self proclaimed non secular) allies

(. As for those who would mention Neturei Karta (as religous Jews) one can only compare them to the self identified "German Jews of the Mosaic persuasion" who shouted "Weg Mit Uns" at Nazi rallies - a lunatic fringe who have been rejected by the Jewish mainstream.
