The inevitable....Reader comment on item: More about the Future of Judaism Submitted by Froike (United States), May 31, 2009 at 12:41 As a "Baal Tshuvah", a Jew who returned to the faith....I concur that G-d willing, if we are all here, in the next few generations, either Jews will be Orthodox, or totally assimilated. I am one of a family of sixty that returned to practice Judaism...The rest of my family is abhorrently ignorant of Judaic knowledge. Most have intermarried or in the process of doing so. I respect and care for my non-Jewish relatives. I am not a racist, I do not hate or malign other religions. But this validates my point: only those of that pass the Orthodox Mesorah to their offspring will survive the ravages of inter marriage and assimilation. Hence, I predict, that within the next two or three generations, their will be no "Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist....etc....Jews left.. What can these people pass on to their children??? Perhaps this is a bad analogy but....if you keep watering down Orange Juice....it's no longer called Orange Juice!
