Reader comment on item: What Riyadh Buys [in Washington]
in response to reader comment: Culture of " bakshish" in the Arab world

Submitted by souissi fahed (France), Mar 5, 2007 at 07:03

I read your article and i agree with you that the occidental world are very ignorant about the arab culture, but still we consider that bakshish is not practiced by every one. In general, the police accept that bakshih mostly because their resource is very limited, and i've seen with my own eyes ordinary policemen built big villas and cars from what they raise from bakshish. And you totally wrong if you say that bakshish culture is practiced in gulf land,we see that specially in LYBYA,MAROCO,SYRIA, but Egypt has the biggest bakshish culture.

And i think that you are right when you said that arabs and muslim consider that America is their biggest enemy (we consider you worst than Israel) because you killed thousands and hundreds of innocent in the name of the security of THE AMERICAN NATION! And to remember that in the human history every big nation had an end, but America gonna havethe worst. It's not that i hate american people (even if i consider them an ingnorant people in some way, because BUSH represent you) but i think that you abuse of your power against the world everywhere in the name of your freedom and democracy.
