The Saudis aren't the only ones buying Washington

The Europeans, Israelis and many other nations are also highly effective lobbyists that are not averse to using cash to hire opinion formers to try and influence Washington.

To focus on Saudi efforts in the same area doesn't tell the entire story and leads to an excessively one sided view of the problem.

Is there a problem? Possibly. The answer, however, is to restrict all payments to current and ex federal employees for a given period of time after their tenure.
