The mad Mullahs of Teheran

Reader comment on item: Ahmadinejad - Hostage Taker?

Submitted by Octavio Johanson (Italy), Nov 13, 2006 at 03:38

Excellent article by Daniel Pipes, as per usual. "Ahmadinejad has many domestic opponents and this evidence provides them with new evidence of his extremism, rashness and unsuitability to govern the country, which they may be able to exploit". This is exactly the point.

I have met a few Iranian exiles in my town, and they hate the mad Mullahs of Teheran. They are usually very educated people, and they tell me that there is a domestic opposition to the Mullahs. The economy is not doing well at all, and people are angry at the regime. Therefore, the system will, sooner or later, implode. There is no point on wasting wstern lives in Iran; they themselves will eventually get rid of the Hostage Taker. There is no point in waging war. Americans and Europeans should focus on their internal security issues. The enemy inside your gate is always more dangerous than the ones outside.
