Britain not "perilously close" to waking up

Reader comment on item: Piggybacking on Terror

Submitted by Andy B. (United States), Aug 29, 2006 at 18:25

The fact that both British newspapers quoted could not bring themselves to call blackmail "blackmail", but rather "perilously close" to blackmail suggests that the British are not even close to being able to label their own enemy as such.

Britains' own need for political correctness seems to trump saving its' own culture from being gradually dominated by Islam.

The really interesting question is whether the next terrorist attack in Britain that produces really large numbers of deaths, 9/11-style, will produce a harsh crackdown on Islam or a tidal wave of appeasement.

I fear the latter.
