in response to reader comment: new 10-religion study concludes Islam most violent

Submitted by Mohamed (Australia), Apr 2, 2008 at 06:07

Salam, Shalom, hello,

I would like to apologize first because my poor English. I am addressing these words to those who say that Islam is a violent religion, that Islam encourages killing innocent people just because they have different beliefs, that Muslims spreading hate all around the world and so on...

I think that this is misjudgement and most people cannot distinguish between Islam as a religion and those who practice this religion. If we said that Islam is a religion of violence and hate just because some Muslims whom wrongly do some bad stuff like killing and being radicals, that I think is a misjudgement, otherwise we can say the same thing about Christianity and Judaism because some followers of those religions have done the same bad stuff, though I still have some questions I would like to share with you and I hope you will be fair dealing with them:

Did Muslims attack Christians and occupied their countries and destroy it? Did Muslims start the first and second world wars which results more than 60 Million victims? Did Racism, Nazi, Fascism comes out of the Islamic world? Did Muslim invented the Nuclear, Chemical, Biological weapons so the man kill his brother man? Did Muslim invade Afghanistan, Shishan, Vietnam and Iraq? Did Muslims spread the culture of everything for sale even morals and ethics? Did Muslim control 80% of the worlds resources and let the rest suffer? Did Muslim make fun of religions or religious figures?

These are questions that we really should pay attention to; I have never heard a Muslim says that Christianity or Jesus Christ is a terrorist or a violent religion.

I hope that people before they judge they d better know about Islam, God gave us this brain so we can use it and not let others think instead of us.
