Sad, frightening and true

Reader comment on item: Piggybacking on Terror

Submitted by Art G (Canada), Aug 29, 2006 at 15:22

It is truly saddening to see the day where Daniel Pipes admits that violence pays. I'm not saying that I disagree; just that I am dismayed, perhaps frightened at the portent of these words. Will it take a lot more violence to knock some sense into people? Does a Churchill today exist that can rally the people of the free world behind a noble cause (and you can't get much nobler than life and freedom) or are those days gone? We are coming perilously close to the point where "natural" solutions to this conundrum just do not exist. We need a miracle (in fact, a few). As the Lubavitchers say: "We want Moshiach Now!"
