Reader comment on item: Time to Profile Airline Passengers?

Submitted by E. Mayfield (United States), Aug 22, 2006 at 22:50

I think this is a particularly important article.

The article points out that political correctness trumps safety everywhere except on Israeli airlines; that U.S. and for the most part, other countries, don't profile Muslim travelers, even though Muslims are virtually the only terrorists operating, today.

There is a solution. Not perfect - but a big improvement. We - passengers - don't have to be politically correct. We can observe Muslim travelers and report them to security personnel. Once we do that, security can interrogate them because they weren't "profiled" by security personnel; they were reported by a passenger. It doesn't even matter if they are acting suspicious - once a passenger reports a concern, security has to check the Muslims out.

If you value your life more than political correctness, take charge of your own travel security! And, tell your friends and relatives to do the same thing !!!
