Who has time for writing tafsirs on Quran

Dear DNM, I have no interest in providing tafsirs of quran. I am better a man than a mufassir. My 'tafsir' in a recent message was just common sense. In my opinion, the religious text should not be too difficult to understand (specially if the matters being discussed are straight forward). And, if a text discusses simple matters but makes it super complicated then the text must be abandoned. If the Quran needs 200 tafsirs to explain that killing other humans is bad, then Quran is not a manual to learn ideal human conduct. This is because religious texts are written for common men and not for linguists and other experts.

Islam's achilles heel is its stubbornness. If it were not so stubborn, simpler versions of it must have emerged. As it is, the bad parts of Islam do not get changed, they get apologized for, explained, and over-explained. That is what the tafsirs are all about.
