Meaning of z-m-r

Reader comment on item: What to Make of Éric Zemmour?
in response to reader comment: Zemmour must be from Hebrew Zamar

Submitted by Daniel K. (Israel), Dec 8, 2021 at 04:30

An additional meaning of the root z-m-r in Biblical Hebrew is "to prune a tree"; as in Isaiah's "they will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning-hooks" ( = mazmerot). That is more closely connected to olive trees.
