Returning Afghanistan to Pre-Colonial Times - How Far Back

in response to reader comment: Understanding the Ultimate Truth - Colonialism is Outgrowth of Ancient Empires

The resurgence of Islam in Afghanistan (if it truly can be called Islam?) in the latest change of the power structure did not occur because of Taliban strength-do not be fooled-it occurred in a vacuum. What went missing?
Partisan politics in the West, particularly in the recent decades of mismanagement in the political wranglings leading to the current 46th American Administration's apparent miscalculations of a process they obviously did not understand, has not had the best perception of what is truly at stake; and as always, the innocents suffer. This is a recurrent theme; it is a cycle that appears to break even the most well intentioned attempts to search for elusive peace: why is that? Simple: it is beset with overwhelming rejections of truth.
Was Afghanistan a colony? Or, was it a part of the ancient order of empires lost in epochal fights for supremacy of one ideology or another? What do the ancient records say, if any still exist in the truth?
Is there a renaissance of empire in Afghanistan(?); or does it become again a tool of modern ambitions of empire of others since its identity is as blurred now as say, when the mujahedin battled the Soviets, only to get its identity mixed with other desires of colonialist ambitions. The Chinese Communists seem particularly aroused at a potential collaboration.
But to the point of this forum's expose; does the battle for existence between Israel and the 'Palestinian' interests (read proxy Hamas and Hisbollah) understand that change in Afghanistan signals a greater vacuum in how Israel will be protected as the world devolves away from the truth further an further. Are we not now at the threshold of realizing what was really lost? Afghanistan is now a staging depot for what is next; is it not?
