Middle East Bastion of Religious Nonsense

To take a closer look at the religious nonsense some take great exception to, in order to understand why some would love to keep the Middle East secular, it is potentially necessary to look at the issue from the British standpoint since the United Kingdom has sooo much interface with 'Palestine' and historical implications from the reign of Queen Victoria and the clashes with the Ottoman Empire. Even Russia's ambition from that time are seen today and no one would openly wonder if such Russian ambitions were religious (the Russian Orthodox Church notwithstanding) since the Bolshevik's erased much of the church's legacy.
Even the Prime Minister D'Israeli, an Anglicanized person of Jewish descent would not characterize his political leanings as religious even as the Queen sent expeditions to the Middle East for reasons of the Queen's business.
Now, today, as alluded to, the Crown Prince has Islamic affinities and has participated in several Islamically influenced situations; but are we to conclude there is nothing 'religious' in such practices?
Hardly; but to the point of whether such 'supernatural' influences of overtly 'religious' circumstances remains challengeable when considering that merely opinions of such things are debatable here; it cannot be overlooked except in desires to contain that which cannot be contained; what happens when the open hostilities commence over the Temple Mount for 'religious' sensibilities and people are fighting for whose 'god' is superior and rules on the Temple Mount.
