DNM:
Your dissertation here is, once again, illuminating in view of the ages old changes of empire and the realization that Islam of those times is not the Islam in view today. Even as Islam is entrenched in the Middle East in ways that even the most confirmed of adherents are convinced, what is really at play here is just as you have said, not the ghosts of the ancients, but the resurgence is as we have been hypothecating, modern adherents that have been following modern and more recent translations of currently misunderstood precepts that actually follow post-Babylonian interpretations of religious identity; all of which that purposefully oppose the more ancient writings of the Children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Is this not the mysticism of the ancients that have mystified current followers of a religious identity that cannot be validated except in Arabic, even as most of the modern followers are not Arabic?
When will the issues of the Sunni and the Shiites be resolved? Should the Persian versions of belief be subtitled in Arabic?
