Does anticipation of 'End Times' affect Muslims' practical acceptance of Israel?...

Reader comment on item: Can the Koran Solve Israel's Political Impasse?

I much appreciate the replies from Daniel Pipes and dhimmi no more to my comment. My further thoughts are... While a principle of endorsing Jewish presence in the Holy Land, and thence Israel, may be inferred from the Koran, does Islamic eschatology affect intellectual and practical acceptance of this among Muslims? In my understanding or misunderstanding of Islamic eschatology, Jews are a doomed species, to be wiped out as a religious presence with the coming of the Mahdi and 'Isa. If a principle of endorsing Jewish presence in the Holy Land is intellectually inferred from the Koran, might its practical application to Israel be aborted by belief in imminent 'End Times' (e.g as anticipated by Ayatollah Khamenei), perhaps with oneself as a conduit of the 'End Times' (e.g as ISIS and similar have perceived themselves)? Or, for those who feel the day of arrival is unknown, might practical endorsement of Israel be obstructed by consideration that the 'End Times' might be imminent and that one might be required to play a role in their manifesting? A mind not anticipating imminent 'End Times', with a role in their manifestation, might be more likely to accept a longterm perspective that, until the 'End Times' arrive, a principle may be inferred from the Koran for endorsing Israel.
