Appropriation of Eschatological Observations in the Tanakh

Reader comment on item: Can the Koran Solve Israel's Political Impasse?
in response to reader comment: Does anticipation of 'End Times' affect Muslims' practical acceptance of Israel?...

Over the years of being a reader of this forum of Dr. Pipes, as has been mentioned in previous exchanges, being exposed to the various inconsistencies of Quranic perceptions of religious manifestations started to fall into a more cognitive sense from much earlier times when attempting to understand why Islam thought it could replace HaMashiach with al-Mahdi; actually it is its own form of نسخ to and the attempts to negate the Messianic Gospel message of the prophesied return of the Holy One of Israel (Isaiah 49) in the Tanakh, also speaking to the promise in Jeremiah Ch. 30:3.
Islamic eschatology is not original in its attempts to define end times, for as DNM had pointed out to this observer, non-Arabic translators of Aramaic/Syriac version of Gospel Scriptures could not emulate the truth of just exactly what Yeshua said when He spoke of the determination of those times being reserved to the Eternal Father alone. Thus, Islam is determined to replace Israel in the end times and doing so, place the al-Mahdi in the Temple on Mount Moriah in defiance of the prophesies of Daniel and Ezekiel, as originally found in the Tanakh. That is the abrogation Islam seeks to impose in this world.
