Among the ancient Jews, after blasphemy and treason, the greatest sin was for a man to sleep with one of his father's wives or concubines. Especially sinful if the father is both Divine and Kingly. You can't get much worse than that! If Yeshua did indeed (though I don't believe He did) sleep with his father's bride, then it's hardly any wonder he was so cruelly tortured and crucified.
