Pipes gets the pivotal point right on target:

For the past few years, while Iran was racing to become nuclear, the Obama administration has been repeatedly:

1. Admonishing Israel not to act unilaterally.

2. Assuring and reassuring Israel that Iran will not be allowed to have a nuclear bomb, and

3. All options are on the table, including military.

Now we're learning that #2 and #3 have been removed, with only #1 still standing. No wonder Netanyahu feels compelled to sound the alarm at the 11th hour. As an ally, he has been deceived.
