Reader comment on item: Better Dictators than Elected Islamists
in response to reader comment: Morsi's Egypt Is Another Replay of Algeria?

YOU HAVE CERTAINLY HEARD WHAT MESHAL SAID.

SO MY QUESTION IS:

CAN YOU TELL ME HOW ONE CAN NEGOTIATE WITH PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS WAY?

NO WONDER WE WILL NEVER HAVE A PEACE

THEY DONT WANT IT, THEY WANT THE WHOLE LAND

AND YOU KEEP TALKING ABOUT DEMOCRACY.

YOU ARE FORGETTING THAT THIS WORD DOES NOT EXIST IN THE ARAB WORLD THAT HAS BEEN RUN FOR ALMOST A MILLENIUM AND A HALF BY KINGS OR DICTATORS AND THEY ARE NOT ABOUT TO CHANGE TODAY

OK, YOU MAY SAY THAT THE ELECTION in EGYPT HAD WAS PART OF DEMOCRACY BUT IT IS WHAT FOLLOWS THAT COUNTS AND WE SEE WHERE WE ARE AFTER THIS FIRST MANIFESTATION OF DEMOCRACY

SORRY WE ARE NOT MOVING WHERE WE WISH TO FOR WE ARE DEALING WITH A SPECIAL PEOPLE
