Stopping the attacks from Gaza is to OWN Philadelphi Route-corridor

Reader comment on item: Gaza's Not the Key, Philadelphi Is

Submitted by NuritG (United States), Nov 27, 2012 at 21:10

Israel should have invaded the Strip, and taken the Philadelphi Route-corridor, enabling it to shut down the 1200 tunnels between Gaza and Egypt's Sinai and cease the arms smuggling. The reason there are so many wars is that Israel is not allowed to win them.

Egyptian forces will be brutal on terrorists that attack them, but will not interfere with their child Hamas and other forces bringing weaponry into Gaza.

The tunnels beneath the Philadelphi Corridor, the narrow strip of southern Gaza that borders Egypt should retake.

The only ways to stop the attacks from Gaza is to:

1. Take control of the Philadelphi Corridor and destroy every tunnel,

2. If that does not work, the IDF must destroy all Hamas' military headquarters, weapons manufacturing, and bunkers, and

3. Occupy the whole of Gaza and deport survivors. There is no other way.
