Bombing

Reader comment on item: Panetta Predicts an Israeli Strike on Iran

Submitted by Nataliya (Ukraine), Feb 13, 2012 at 15:35

Mr Pipes,

How do you estimate the chances of bombing Iran by Israel in the nearest future? Are the people in Israel ready for the attack? What form of attack it could be? What will be the reaction of USA? What be the consequences of the attack?

Thank you.

Daniel Pipes replies:

I think the chances are quite good, that Israelis are quite ready for this, that it could be via planes or submarines, and that the consequences will be more noisy than substantial.
