This is unbelievable

Reader comment on item: [Hamid Dabashi:] Columbia University's Hysterical Professor

Submitted by Karim (United States), Dec 14, 2004 at 16:44

First, this is the first time I am reading about Mr. Dabashi. So excuse me if my comments seem naive.

Clearly, Mr Dabashi overreacted, but so did Mr. Luria. It seems to me both are racist or at least very quick to stereotype another person. More importantly, I am astonished by the conclusions reached by some of the readers. As I said, I do not know anything about Mr. Dabashi, but do not see anything in his email or the excerpt of his article to indicate that he is a terrorist or supports terrorism, or that he does not support a two-state solution. ...Perhaps the poor professor is right to be paranoid.
