Columbia University's Hysterical Professor

Reader comment on item: [Hamid Dabashi:] Columbia University's Hysterical Professor

Submitted by Marcia Peters (United States), Dec 5, 2004 at 10:15

Dear Mr. Pipes,

What you described in the above-mentioned email regarding Hamid Dabashi, is so typical a response of our Middle Eastern "friends".

I call it manipulation of the facts; rehetoric. It is reminescent and representative of so much of what Arafat did throughout his leadership (down the road of hell) of "Palestinians", using the term loosely, as most educated people know that these people are not truly Palestinians.

When people can rewrite history to suit themselves, what else can we expect?

Why Columbia employs such a person as Dabashi is beyond my comprehension. Some segments of our society are so concerned with being politically correct, they become as extreme and dangerous as the very terrorists we are fighting.

Sincerely,

Marcia Peters
