Christie will never be nominated to be US President

Reader comment on item: Why Chris Christie Will Never Be President of the United States

Submitted by Isaac Flaks (United States), Aug 22, 2011 at 08:35

If Mr Christie selects a Muslim for a position of importance in goverment , this particular person has many things to prove. The most important is can this Muslim person leave his religion out of his work. Can he not be violent and that violence is not a problem solver and show no bias against non followers of Islam and that Sharia Law is not the law of the US. Muslims must prove tangibly they can be trusted and can be Americans. Especially can this person of the Muslim faith be fair to a person who is Jewish. Following ones religion is fine and dandy but putting ones religious dictates on someone of a different religious faith is unfair and not justified. Religious persecution is wrong and is not the way to resolve differences. Respecting ones beliefs is fine as long as it is civil and not violent.
