ISRAELI CONCESSIONS COULD BRING ABOUT A NEW WAR.IS PRESIDENT OBAMA AWARE?

Reader comment on item: Obama and Israel, Into the Abyss

Dear Dr. Pipes,

I have read your commentary with much interest and I also discovered some things I wasn't aware of. But in general the Administration of President Barack Hussein Obama is appeasing the Palestinian Arabs and the Arab world as such. Putting pressure on Israel to resolve its vital territorial and human problems according to Palestinian Arab demands is not a wise policy and it might encourage the enemies of Israel to attack the Jewish state.

The practice of the past decades only shows that concessions on the part of Israel bring about new, more radicals demands of the Arabs. But with the present US Administration, these demands might become an official policy of the US Government.

The Palestinian Arabs had great and historical chance to create their own state, along Israel, and make it prosperous and democratic. Instead, their leaders have chosen a path of war and of extreme radicalism. How Israeli Government and population could ever agree to conclude any peace treaties with Palestinian Arab organizations which claim to destroy Israel and "clean" the geographical Palestine from Jews?

The United States better push the Palestinian leadership to get rid of the "ultras" and to recognize Israel as a sovereign state.
