You cut to the heart of it.......and it makes me crazy!

Reader comment on item: Hezbollah's Victory, Israel's Decline

Bless you, Daniel Pipes for once again striking concisely and deftly to the heart of an issue which affects us all. But your article on hostage appeasement (and most of your articles on Middle East issues...) makes me crazy! Because you (and I and millions....) see it so clearly....I simply cannot get accustomed to the fact that similar common sense is a major factor which seems to have escaped the media and the State Department on security issues pertaining to Israel.....and by extension, our own (U.S.) dealings with Islamist/Arab inspired agendas of hatred, ie......9-11.

After speaking to and working for Israeli issues for 20 years, I had high hopes for Sharon's leadership to make Israel again strong and courageous. With my own ears I have heard his pledges to honor the Biblical roots and covenants of Israel and her people. I know better to put my trust in political processes. As the text in the exact center of the Bible says.....in Psalm 118:8..."It is better to trust in the Lord, than to put confidence in man." .
