Israel's decline

Reader comment on item: Hezbollah's Victory, Israel's Decline

Submitted by Ely Silk (United States), Feb 4, 2004 at 02:22

Israel is on a toboggan slide into oblivion. Her leaders, from both sides, are determined to undo everything that had been done through multiple wars fought over many years. Many Israelis march in support of virtually dismantling their state while shouting support for the PA and Hamas. If the truth be known, I'm sure many Israelis (one group for sure) cheer when a suicide bomber detonates successfully.

When people living in the cities refer to settlers living in danger on Israel's outskirts as cancers, there seems little hope for a future. It is becoming clear to her enemies that the Arab terrorists want Israel more than most Israelis. This is a guarantee of total destruction. Except, that is, for one factor. The God of Israel will eventually step in to aid His people. But none of us, not here nor there, will recognize the Israel that exists at that time. Sad...especially for those in Israel who really love God and their land. Even sadder is that our country is doing whatever we can to help expedite Israel's plunge.
