Whatever Abbas does or does not do is meaningless

His announcement- repeated a number of times - thayt he has no intention of running for any office again and will retire from politics- I am sure to Jordan where he lived prior - makes him a lame duck and in fact more lame than anyone in world politics. Abbas is a person who is apparently "negotating" for a palestinian state - and by negotiation he means making demands of Israel while doing nothing himself - who intends to walk away from the game.

Compare to any leader in history anywhere who was in a leadership role in any struggle to gain a state. They all took on political responsibilities afterward because everyone knows that the real work of making a state takes place after you get one. But not Abu Mazen. He doesn't want any part of it.

Better to go back to Jordan and watch from the sidelines as chaos erupts and war inside and outside it takes place. He knows that "Palestine" is a hoax and is only a ploy to further the destruction of Israel. The Arabs of Judea Samaria and Gaza never wanted a state. They want a base of operations funded by the West from which to attack Israel. Gaza proves it.

The big lie of a palestinian people is reflected in Gaza where they finally had a Judenrein entity governed by themselves and the only thing they wish to achieve is building and firing kassams and bringing in weapons.
