Reader comment on item: Bush's Middle East Hopes [and His Failures]

Submitted by Janusz Kowalik (United States), Jan 17, 2008 at 14:49

Mr Pipes describes well the shortcomings of the President Bush Middle East policies and strategies. with one serious omission. America must become energy independent.

President Bush has not done much to support this goal and as long billions of dollars are flowing to Middle EAst the Islamic Fascism has enough funding to continue terrorism around the globe.in addition with oil prices so high as the are now Arabs can start buying American Businesses in large quantities. Our dependence on the Middle East oil help terrorism and creates serious security problems.

Let's hope that the next administration will understand better this issue.
