Grand Slam Home Run

Reader comment on item: Bush is rewarding [Palestinian] terrorism

Submitted by Steve Herman (United States), Jun 26, 2002 at 09:19

Sorry. I don't agree. The speech was a grand slam home run. True, Bush through some comments I would call "distractors," meant to soften the blow diplomatically for our "moderate Arab allies," you know, Egypt, Saudia Bugrabia, the Gulf states. But, all in all, he gave Sharon's speech for him. There is no way the Arabs of former Palestine will ever meet these conditions for US support for a Palestinian State that will "live side-by-side in peace with Israel." That means, NO ARAB PALESTINIAN STATE. That's all. Now, let us move on and annihilate terrorists in every hole where they reside.
