In this connection, there was an interesting incidents (in fact more than one). More than 20 years back, guys in Calcutta went to the Calcutta High Court and made a petition to the judge asking him to ban Quran since it incites hatred. The case was admitted. The whole PC political class in India was stunned and squirmed at sch a prospect. Most likely there was heavy backdoor pressure on the examining judge to throw out the case and not preceed with it and it was duly thrown out by the judge.
