Confidence in the WestReader comment on item: Op Eds Now More Central in War than Bullets Submitted by David W. Lincoln (Canada), Oct 17, 2006 at 16:38 I can't disagree with this assessment mentioned above. Case in point, in the October 17, 2006 edition of the National Post there is a letter to the editor from a Muslim in Toronto. He asks, what do those who are not Muslim want. As long as timidity regarding Western culture has too strong a sway in editorial boards, universities, and news rooms - it would be just like in so many words what C.S. Lewis wrote, "we make them geldings, and then we bid them to be fruitful". So, in other words, any language which counters multiculturalism is strictly censored - and we are paying the price for it. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
