Reader comment on item: Pretending There's a Country Called "Palestine"
in response to reader comment: Palestine never existed

Submitted by Palestina (United States), Sep 23, 2006 at 00:23

First of all, anyone who even remotely suggests that "there is no Palestine" is not only a complete moron, but someone who has failed at even remedial history.

As I'm sure you're aware, Roma annexed Jerusalem (or Judea) at around 63 BC, thus making it one of the territories of Rome, naming it "Palestina."

Now, as I'm also sure you're aware, that makes the existance of Palestine true. Especially based on modern wars, etc., in which, any time a territory is fought for and/or annexed, it becomes territory of the nation which fought for it. Such is the case with EVERY nation on this planet, from America, to Great Britain, to Germany and Russia.

Now, by virtue of logic, if the territory was annexed, and named, it becomes a state/country of the nation which takes it. Besides that, modern history shows that even Jesus Christ was born in PALESTINE.

It wasn't until 1948 that Israel regained its "rightful territory", although completely unwilling to fight for it herself. The acts of 1948 were wrong in that, Palestine had no ties to Nazi Germany whatsoever, and shouldn't have been punished for said actions. Since then, the Israelis have murdered thousands of innocent PALESTINIANS, and taken over even more land that wasn't "theirs" to begin with (more than 78%, to be exact.)

Now, how can anyone with an ounce of brains in them claim that ALL of history is WRONG, and say that Palestine never existed?

Pure ignorance.
