Following radical Ben Sales' spreading the bigot Sally Roony's stunt against translating in Heb.

In January 14, 2021 Ben Sales "reporting" infamous Btselem on its promoting Apartheid slur - he's wrongfully stated that it has been attributed to critics regarding so called "occupation." While in fact Shukeiri came up with this already in 1961. He also called that group "leading human rights" as if he doesn't know that since Bassem Eid left it--in July 1996 as group within the org. , led by Uri Avnery, that sympathized with the PLO, objected covering Palestinians abuses of human rights, Eid began urging Btselen to report on Palestinians' abuses since In 1993, as he "noticed that more Palestinians were killed by other Palestinians, as so-called collaborators, than by the Israeli army"--it became a purely propaganda tool often just lying .

On the other hand, has she authorized the translation of her book into Chinese, despite the at least cultural genocide of the Uighurs, has she authorized the translation into Turkish, despite the occupation of Cyprus, that of the north of both Syria and Iraq, or the non-recognition and non-repentance of the Armenian genocide (among others), has she authorized the translation into Arabic despite the perpetuation of slavery in Libya and Mauritania, has she allowed translation into Russian despite the occupation of Crimea, Ukraine and parts of Georgia, did it allow translation into Armenian and / or Azeri despite occupation of foreign territories (according to the side she is on), did she authorize the translation into Burmese, despite the ethnic cleansing against the Rohingas? And did it allow translation into English despite the occupation of Northern Ireland? Ha no, this colonized even writes in English. What a pity this thing.

Ulysses has been translated into Hebrew, BTW. The literary value of her work is irrelevant - her refusal to have it translated to Hebrew indicates a not-so-subtle form of antisemitism. Perhaps she thinks this will advance her sales- and it may, in certain equally prejudiced circles. If this sort of "cancel culture" is the trend in Ireland, it's a poor successor to the literary masterpieces that the Irish have created over the past few centuries. People will be reading books by Israeli authors, in the original and in translation, long after her literary carreer is over.
