Cutting to the chase-

OK dan, let's assume that the "worst case scenario" prevails-and it probably will or should, given the circumstances and history...

When, and under what circumstances will Israel use the nuclear option?

I don't particularly care. However there are a good many people in Israel who would be turned into ashes of the sort Ilse Koch could only imagine. Can Israel detonate a bomb that would incinerate arabs alone? How many generations of Israelis would give birth to deformed children? How many living Israelis would be hampered by their presence in the promised land of the chosen after their government used the bomb?

Who would win in a regional nuclear war? Everyone would be more or less equally contaminated, infected and shunned by the entire surviving populace of the planet.

Exactly what, daniel, do you envision as a "justifiable" nuclear war in the middle east?

I will tell you-whatever you believe, if you have imagined it at all- is insufficient to the terror that would be wreaked on Israel by her initiation of a nuclear conflict.

Do you imagine that americans would be kindly disposed toward the people who exposed their children and grandchildren (not to mention themselves) to nuclear havoc on the whim of religious nonsense? I doubt even you could be so silly as to think so.

Israel is walking a tightrope.

Whatever influence the government of Israel has will be negated at the first hint of actual harm to the American populace because of actions taken by the government of Israel, if they are exposed.

Israel actually hopes that she can hang on until world opinion turns against Islamic people simply because they are of a different religion/culture. don't bet on it.

History shows us the potential vulnerability of Jewish People simply because of the unconsidered consequences of the actions of their leaders.

Sanity demands that a nation founded by the legislative whim of an international body whose authority they themselves no longer heed be in mortal terror for their very existence.

do you actually need a crystal ball to understand where all this is headed?
